Operating both onsite and alongside your project team, we work closely with the Principal Designer during the pre-construction phase and continue to support contractors and duty holders throughout the construction phase.

Advising on Compliance

The CDM Advisor ensures that all parties involved in a construction project (clients, designers, contractors, etc.) comply with the CDM Regulations.
They provide expert advice on legal obligations and best practices for health and safety.

Risk Management

Identifying potential health and safety risks during the design and construction phases.
Advising on measures to mitigate or eliminate risks, ensuring a safer working environment.

Documentation and Reporting

Ensuring that all necessary health and safety documentation, such as risk assessments, method statements, and the Health and Safety File, are prepared and maintained.
Reviewing and updating the project’s safety documentation as needed.

Coordination and Communication

Acting as a liaison between the client, principal designer, and principal contractor to ensure that safety is a priority throughout the project.
Facilitating communication among all parties to promote a collaborative approach to managing health and safety.

Incident Investigation

If an incident occurs, the CDM Advisor may be involved in investigating the cause, reviewing the effectiveness of safety measures, and suggesting improvements to prevent future occurrences.

Training and Education

Providing training or guidance to project teams on CDM responsibilities and safety practices.
Keeping the team informed of any changes in legislation or best practices related to construction safety.

Support in Planning

Identifying potential health and safety risks during the design and construction phases.

Client Assistance

Helping clients understand their duties under CDM, particularly to ensuring sufficient time and resources are allocated for safety management.

Post-Completion Activities

Ensuring that the Health and Safety File is completed and handed over to the client at the end of the project.
Advising on any ongoing safety considerations that may be relevant for the use or maintenance of the building.
